Soft Play rules

Supervision & Responsibility

  • All children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
  • Our team is here to help create a safe and fun environment, but they are not a replacement for parental supervision.
  • Parents and guardians remain responsible for their children’s behaviour, wellbeing, and safety throughout their visit.
  • If you have concerns about the behaviour of another child, please inform a member of staff. Do not attempt to intervene directly.

Age & Height Restrictions

  • Age restrictions apply in certain zones and are clearly marked for safety and enjoyment.

Hygiene & Clothing

  • Please ensure children use the toilet and wash their hands before entering the play area.
  • Shoes must be removed, and socks must be worn at all times while using the play equipment.
  • We recommend long sleeves and trousers for safety. Clothing made from man-made fibres (such as football shirts) may prevent access to some attractions.
  • Avoid clothing with ropes, cords, or loose accessories.
  • Badges and jewellery should be removed before play. Glasses must have a retainer strap and be fitted with shatterproof lenses.
  • Nappies should only be changed in the designated baby changing areas. Used nappies must be placed in the proper bins provided.
  • Children who are unwell should not enter the play area.

Safe Play

  • Sharp objects must not be brought into the play areas.
  • Food, drinks, and chewing gum are not allowed in any of the play zones.
  • No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere in the building, including the use of e-cigarettes.
  • Children must not climb on the netted walls or structural framework.
  • Please do not block or play at the bottom of slides.
  • Throwing balls or other objects is not permitted.
  • Fighting, rough play or bullying will not be tolerated. Anyone behaving inappropriately may be asked to leave.

Housekeeping & Maintenance

  • If food or drink is dropped, please clean it up or let a member of staff know straight away.
  • Any accidents must be reported to a staff member so we can assist and record the incident properly.
  • Any damage—whether accidental or deliberate—must be reported to the team.

Food & Drink Policy

  • Only food and drink purchased from Rascals Preston may be consumed on the premises, for health and safety reasons, and in line with the guidelines of the Association of Indoor Play.
